Were off to Maine this weekend for a few days of fine dining, a little sailing and of course antiquing!
We will start our trip off with dinner at one of our absolute favorite restaurants, Fore Street in Portland.
After dinner we will drive up to stay in Camden, which is considered one of the most charming and picturesque of the villages in Maine. From there we are planning on a day sail, weather permitting, then visit some of our other favorite places such as Wiscasset, which is home to some wonderful antique shops. Richard C. French Antiques being our first stop. Richard specializes in fine American 18th and 19th century furnishings.
We may even head up to Northport to pick up another wool blanket from Swans Island. Where you may be able to see one of their hand loomed blankets or throws being made.
For our last dinner in Maine we will drive over to Rockport for another amazing meal at Primo, who specializes in organic sustainable food. In fact most of their produce, meat and dairy products come from their very backyard.
Now Im off to pack! I will have many wonderful stories and photos to share when we return.
