Watercolors

My interest in design began with my passion for classical architecture. In particular European and English neoclassical architecture of the 17th and 18th centuries. The process begins with extensive research of the structure that I have chosen to paint. When possible I take detailed measurements so that I can reproduce it as accurately as possible. I typically use Arches 300lb hot or cold press paper for my finished paintings. I use many successive layers and glazes of watercolor to achieve the level of depth needed to bring the elevation of the structure to life. All paintings are framed in period style hand carved 22k water gilded moldings, with acid free archival custom paper wrapped mats.
